An IHR (International Health Regulations) Joint External Evaluation mission has been ongoing in Kenya from February 27 to March 3, 2017.








The Joint External Evaluation process is intended for countries to:





<ul>
	<li>to assess the country capacity to prevent, detect, and rapidly respond to public health threats</li>
	<li>to measure country specific status and progress in achieving the targets</li>
	<li>to identify progress made and ensure any improvements in capacity are sustained</li>
	<li>allow countries to identify the most urgent needs within their health security system,</li>
	<li>to prioritize opportunities for enhanced preparedness, response and action, and</li>
	<li>to engage with current and prospective donors and partners to target resources effectively.</li>
</ul>







<strong>We would like to invite you to the closing ceremony which will give an overview and summary of the findings from the mission.</strong>
